Au Revoir Morocco

After 3 trips to Morocco in as many months and a total of 5 weeks spent here, it’s finally time to bid au revoir. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know the place and I’ll miss the amazing food, the stunning mountains and the fantastic local people I’ve met, though I can’t say that I’m dreading the absence of the 5am call to prayer!

My final week here passed in a blur of sunshine, a 3rd Toubkal summit and getting to know some really fun people. I’ve long since given up on escaping without a bit of a thick head after too many Casablanca beers, but after such an enjoyable trip I’m happy to take the dry mouth and bleary eyes.

Thanks to Hussein, Hassan, Alison, Ian, Richard, Lesley, Malcolm, Brian, Stuart, John, Ian and Steve (I stand by my prediction of Spurs by 2 tomorrow!) for a really enjoyable trip and for sending me home suitably “under the weather”.
